Regular Season Round 8: Quebradillas - Bayamon 90-75

Quebradillas Piratas prevails 90-75 over Vaqueros de Bayamon on the last version of the Puertorrican classic. Quebradillas, who is making a comeback from a 6 years absence in the BSN, put away the impressive victory in front of a very enthusiastic crowd in the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon. This was only the second loss of the tournament for Bayamon, who still in the top of the standing with 8 wins followed by Quebradillas who now stands at 7-3. Shawn Redhage scores 28 and Joel Jones Camacho added 22 with six 3pointers to lead the way for the winning team. Also, Marcus Williams, the former NBA player and import player of the Piratas make his contribution with another great overall game scoring 10 points grabbing 7 boards and dishing out 10 assists. It was a very entertaining game from start to finish. Quebradillas started the game with an early 8-0 run who practically can describe what happens throughout the game. Bayamon had problems all night long matching up with the up tempo and high pace of the Piratas offense. They couldnt stop Quebradillas fast break and the PJ Ramos-Redhage combination really gave them a headache inside the paint. Quebradillas took the first half 46-40 and never looked back. A 3pointer by Camacho at the beggining of the third quarter started the rally who practically sealed the victory for the Piratas. Bayamon tried to make a run with 4:58 left in the last quarter and got as close as 9 points but consecutive baskets from Redhage and Camacho took the lead back to double digits. For Bayamon, Christian Dalmau scores 24, Franklin Western adds 22 and Jabari Smith scores 10 points with 9 Rebounds. For Quebradillas, Peter John Ramos scores 13 points on 6-7 from the field.
