Quarter-Finals Round 4: Boston C. - Orlando M. 95-94

Date: May 10, 2009
Glen Davis jumper from the left wing as the clock ran out in the fourth was the difference, as the Boston Celtics edged the Orlando Magic, 95-94, in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinal matchup. Davis ended with 21 points for the Celtics, who evened the series at two games apiece. Game 5 of the best-of-seven series is set for Tuesday back in Boston. 'Since I have been with the Celtics, I have been trying to find my niche in our system,' said Davis. '(Coach) Doc (Rivers) told me that if you work on that shot and show me you can make it, I am going to let you shoot it. This year has been proof of hard work. You just have to be focused. You have to make sure you understand the moment, the clock situation, and basically think without thinking. You just have to shoot it.' Paul Pierce had 27 points and Rajon Rondo chipped in 21 points and 14 rebounds for Boston, which was 1-for-10 from three-point range. Kendrick Perkins and Ray Allen scored 12 each, and Perkins added 13 boards in the triumph. Dwight Howard finished with 23 points and a game-best 17 boards for the Magic, who were a woeful 5-for-27 from behind the arc. Rashard Lewis poured in 22 points, while Hedo Turkoglu and Mickael Pietrus scored 11 each.
