Preliminary Round Day 3: CAPE VERDE - MOROCCO 83-86

Morocco escaped with 86-83 win against Cape Verde handing it the second loss in Group D. It means that Morocco ended Preliminary Stage with 2-1 record (same as Tunisia), what is enough for second place in this pool. Cape Verde fell to 1-2 and due to loss against Rwanda they did not succeed to reach the next stage and will continue in Classification Round. Younes Idrissi was a key player in victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Yunss Akinocho had 15 pts and 6 boards, while Abderrahim Najah delivered 12 pts and pulled down 9 rebounds. Jeff Xavier was on fire in loss scoring 32 points (6 triples). Mario Correia followed with 19.
