Semi-Finals Game 8: IRAN - JORDAN 77-75

The defending champion outsmarted Jordan 77-75 thanks to last basket by MohammadSamad Nikkhah with 13 seconds left. Jordan had two attempts after that, but missed both. It means that Iran stays unbeaten in Tianjin and it will have a chance to defend Asian title tomorrow against China. Jordan will take on Lebanon for third place. Iran also already booked a spot for the World Championship 2010 in Turkey, while Jordan will do the same if they celebrate tomorrow. MohammadSamad Nikkhah led the scorers in the winning squad today with 23 points. He also had 5 rebounds and 5 assists beside that. Hamed Afagh scored 18, while all other players in Iran were below 10. Jordan got 17 points from Rasheim Wright. Osama Daghles added 15 pts and 6 rebounds.
