Preliminary Round Day 4: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - VENEZUELA 78-73

Dominican Republic grabbed the crucial win so far on FIBA Americas Championship. Before this game Dominicans had 1-1, while Venezuela had 1-2 record in San Juan. Charlie Villanueva was a key player for the winners collecting 28 points and 12 rebounds. Francisco Garcia also shined with 21, while Alfred Horford added 14 points and 12 rebounds. Hector Romero responded with 25 points and 9 rebounds in loss. Venezuela played its four games in Preliminary Round and now will have to wait for Day 5 to end and to see will they advance or not. Dominican Republic already booked a spot for the next stage.
