Preliminary Round Day 5: URUGUAY - MEXICO 54-49

Uruguay grabbed 54-49 victory jumping to second place in Group A with 3-1 record. Mexico also advanced to the next stage, but as fourth ranked team from the same pool (1-3). These two teams will play against Brazil, Dominican Republic, Argentina and Panama with only one target - Semifinals. Mauricio Aguiar drained 15 points in victory. Esteban Batista shined with 13 points and impressive 18 rebounds, while Reque Newsome added 10 pts and 6 boards. Gustavo Ayon registered double-double in defeat, 12 pts and 11 rebs. Horacio Llamas followed him with 2 points less.
