Qualifying Round Day 9: ARGENTINA - URUGUAY 73-66

Another win by Argentina in San Juan for 6-1 record. That was the last day of Quarterfinal Round at FIBA Americas Championship and now we have a group of three teams with the same record (Argentina, Puerto Rico and Brazil). Despite victory against Puerto Rico, Argentina is third in this circle. The hosts of this event is second, while Brazil is No.1. All three teams qualified for the Semifinals and also for 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Uruguay ended the contest as No.6 with 2-5 record. Luis Scola paced Argentina with 19 points and 8 rebounds for 20 minutes. Leonardo Gutierrez added 12 pts. In the loosing squad, Esteban Batista collected 20 pts and 10 rebounds. Martin Osimani stopped on 10 pts.
