The Bronze on FIBA Americas Championship 2009 belongs to Argentina. Luis Scola and his teammates were too strong for Canada registering comfortable 15-point win. Canada stays without the medal, but it also met the main target in San Juan - ticket for the 2010 World Championship in Turkey. Top scorer of the event, Scola had another great performance netting 27 points. Pablo Prigioni had 17 points and 8 assists, while Paolo Quinteros added 13 pts. Levon Kendall delivered 12 points in loss. Aaron Doornekamp followed with one point less.
