Regular Season Round 3: Arecibo - Santurce 49-57
Date: March 18, 2010
In a low scoring game the Santurce Crabbers topped the Arecibo Captains 57-49. The Captains were the sole remaining undefeated team in the BSN. The 1st quarter saw the Captains score only 7 points while the Crabbers would score 15 points to take the lead in the game. The Captains simply couldnt buy a basket at that point in the game. In the 2nd quarter it was the Crabbers who would only score 8 points while the Captains went on to score 14 points to end the 1st half 23-21. It was unbelievable to see the Captains one of the most prolific scoring teams in the BSN score only 21 points in a half. In the 2nd half although the Captains had a better offensive effort they still trailed at the end of the 3rd quarter 41-38. In the 4th quarter both teams struggled again on the offensive end and the Crabbers never had to real threat from the Captains the rest of the game. For Santurce, Ricky Sanchez scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while Wilfredo Pagan was the only other Santurce player to reach double digits in scoring by scoring 10 points. For Arecibo, the only player who reached double digits was Angelo Reyes who scored 11 points and brought down 9 rebounds. *by Luis Ramirez
