Regular Season Round 21: Spartak Pleven - Levski Sofia 77-92

Levski recorded 8th straight win in the National Basketball league. Today 'The Blues' defeated Spartak 92-77 in Pleven and will meet Lukoil Academic with high confidence on saturday. Levski was losing after the first half but in the second played better and eventually won its 18th game this season. The visitors started well and took an 18-10 lead. After that the hosts made an unbelievable run of 18-1 and led 28-19 after the first quarter. In the second they increased their lead to 34-21 but until the end of the first half Levski came close to 42-40. In the third quarter the visitors managed to take the lead at 52-50 and then never looked back. Still after the end of this quarter the game was open as the score was 62-66 but in the last ten minutes 'The Blues' played stronger and with 6 minutes to go the game was decided with the score, 67-80. Bobby Frasor played his best game so far and finished with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals for the winners. Donald Cole also played good and added 14 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds while Stanislav Slaveykov scored 15 points. For the hosts Tsvetoslav Ostrev and Nikola Traykov scored 16 points apiece as the American Joe Kennerly added 13. In the next round on saturday Levski will travel to Pravets to play Lukoil Academic in a game that will most likely decide the first place team after the regular season.
