The game seemed destined to go into a second overtime period as the score was tied at 95 points with just a fraction of a second left to play in the 1st overtime period but Miguel Berdiel fouled Ansel Guzman as the clock expired and Guzman sank the first free throw to give the Mets the victory 96-95. Humacao took the 1st quarter 23-21 and were leading as the first half came to an end 42-41. In the second half the Caciques took a 6 point lead as the quarter came to an end 67-61. The Mets however came back in the 4th quarter to eventually tie the game and send it to overtime. For Guaynabo, Emmett Andre (196-G/F-82, college: Texas Tech) scored 35 points and captured 13 rebounds while Ansel Guzman followed up with 17 points and 5 assists. For Humacao, Kleon Penn scored 20 points with 11 rebounds followed by John Millsap with 19 points and 8 rebounds. *by Luis Ramirez
