Dominican Republic is the fifth ranked team in Mayaguez. They blasted the U.S. Virgin Islands in the crucial game for position No.5 ending this event with two straight wins. Naturally, the ISV is No.6 in 2010 Centrobasket. Charlenny Frias was the leading scorer in victory with 21 points. Johanna Morton was behind her with 17 points and 7 assists. Carmen Guzman added 16 pts in this win. On the other side, the ISV got 26 points from Yanique Javois. Tamara Petersen was the last player with double-digits in scoring in this game with 12 points (6 rebs, 6 as). Domincan Republic was a way better team in this meeting. Charlenny Frias and her teammates dominated in all basketball elements against the ISV. They finished first quarter with 25-14 and the second one with 16-12 for nice 41-26 lead at the half time. Nothing has changed after the breather. Dominican Republic still was the team who dominated and finished Q3 with 22-16. They exploded in the last ten minutes as well (31-13) for the final 94-55 blowout and the fifth place in Mayaguez.
