Mexico won the Bronze in Mayaguez. Erika Gomez and her teammates outplayed Trinidad and Tobago to finish 2010 Centrobasket as No.3. With this victory Mexico also booked a ticket for the 2011 FIBA-Americas Championship (Pre-Olympic). Erika Gomez stepped up her team with 19 points and 10 rebounds. She was the MVP of the game with valuation 22. Abril Garcia followed her with 16 points and 7 boards, while Brisa Silva added 15 points. Monica Garcia helped with 10 pts and 8 assists. In the loosing squad, Rhea Codio collected 22 points and 6 assists. Jonee Billy stopped on 13 pts. Mexico shined in the first and third quarter, what was enough for the victory in this game. Opening period belonged to Mexico 12-18, but Trinidad and Tobago replied with 24-22 in the second frame. Still, Mexico held 36-40 lead at the half time. After the breather, Erika Gomez and her teammates had another very productive period scoring 22 points. At the same time they stopped Trinidad and Tobago to 13 for nice 49-62 lead with ten minutes to go. Last quarter was just the formality (16-16) and Mexico won the Bronze in Mayaguez.
