Regular Season Round 2: BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS - PANAMA 50-80

It was the first appearance for Panama in Mayaguez and they registered comfortable victory. Panamanians jumped to 1-0 in Group F, while their rivals dropped to 0-2. They faced with defeat in Day One as well. Ryan Abrahams stepped up for the winners with 19 points. Joel Munoz had 17 points, while Josimar Ayarza added 16 points and 5 boards. In the loosing squad, Kleon Penn collected 13 points and 9 rebs. Steve Parillon stopped on 11 pts and 6 rebs. Panama opened the game in style making 3-13 lead. IVB slightly improved after that, but was not able to avoid 11-20 deficit at the end of Q1. They had big troubles during the next ten minutes as well, thus Panama jumped to impressive 20-39 HT lead. Nothing has changed after the breather. Panama still was the team who dominated and they finished Q3 with 16-25. Question about the winner was resolved and last period was just the formality. In Day Three, Panama will play against the U.S. Virgin Islands. IVB will have a day off.
