Very predictable result in Tampico where ninth ranked Huracanes (22-14) beat 14th ranked Abejas (13-23) 85-76 on Thursday. Abejas were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Robert Hornsby (196-82, college: Troy) fired 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Belizean guard Leon Jacob (191-84, college: Texas A&M Int.) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Huracanes' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Steve Monreal (180, college: Cal.St.-Monterey) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and Puerto Rican forward Christian Soto (203-87, college: Cal-Riverside) added 12 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) respectively for lost side. Five Abejas players scored in double figures. Huracanes has a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lechugueros and Lobos Grises.
