Qualifying Round Round 1: Tsmoki-Minsk - Antwerp 87-87

Minsk-2006 and Antwerp finished EuroChallenge Qualifying Round first-leg game in a draw. Bryan Hopkins fired 31 points to ensure a nice start on the road for the Giants in a two-game series. The hosts surged ahead early in the encounter. Kudrautsau and Kojenents gave the Belarusian side a 13:7 lead. But an 8:0 run from the Giants put them on top 15:13. The Belgian team maintained the lead as they exploded with 35 points in the opening quarter. Bryan Hopkins notched 17 of those and the visitors enjoyed a 35:28 lead at the first break. Minsk-2006 started the second period on a 9:2 run to level things up. The teams stayed close throughout the period. Aliaksei Trastsinetski capped the first half with a three-pointer as the hosts grabbed a 53:52 lead. Antwerp tipped off the third quarter with four points in a row to pull back in front. The Giants did not surrender the lead and entered the fourth quarter up by 9 points 73:64. Minsk-2006 began the fourth frame with 7 points in a row to narrow the deficit. Roel Moors and Bryan Hopkins however replied pretty quickly and the Giants opened a double-digit advantage. Antwerp were up by 8 points with under three minutes to go in regulation. But four points from Aleh Kojenets sparked a 10:2 rally as the home side secured the draw at the end. Tywain McKee notched 20 points for Minsk-2006. Aleh Kojenets added 15 points, while Aliaksei Trastsinetski had 11. Darnell Wilson replied with 17 points for the Giants.
