In the Kalverdijkje on Thursday night, DeFriesland Aris Leeuwarden got back on track after a heartbreaking overtime loss vs. Magixx Kidsright to win a tight affair over BS Weert by the score of 82-78. DeFriesland Aris Leeuwarden overcame foul trouble by top scorer Todd Brown and lead guard John Williams with strong inside play from Manny Adako and Mark Sanchez picking up the slack. After a made three-pointer from ex-Aris standout Lawrence Hamm to put the guests to within 79-78 with 1:06 remaining, Adako made two clutch plays in crunch time, first scoring a clutch basket with 0:41 remaining to extend Aris lead back to one possession at 81-78, and then after a Glenn Stokes missed three-pointer, coming up with a clutch offensive rebound on a Gerad Punch missed free throw. Aris would be unable to cash in the win only after Andrew Dawsons made free throw with 0:06 seconds remaining following four straight missed Aris free throws to ice the win. Adako had a double-double of 18 pts. and 11 rebounds, with Sanchez adding 16 pts. and 8 rebounds.
