Regular Season Round 10: Rotterdam - Groningen 65-85
Date: November 11, 2010
In the Topsportcentrum, the undefeated defending champion Gas Terra Flames started out strong vs. winless Rotterdam Challengers, but still had their hands full in the 85-65 win. The Flames started out with a 12-0 run, but the Rotterdammers fought back to close it within 21-18 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter the defending Dutch champs had difficulty to find the inspiration, which played to the advantage of the Rotterdammers. Patrick Hilliman played strong vs. the Gas Terra inside tag team of Matt Haraysz and John Turek, helping keep things close at 33-31. The Rotterdammers did a good job of shutting down Gas Terras inside game. But the Gas Terra Flames juggernaut began to distant themselves further from the Rotterdammers, with the three-point line friendly to the Flames, courtesy of the trio of Matt Bauscher, Jason Dourisseau and Steve Ross, who combined for 11 of Gas Terra Flames 13 made threes. The 13 of 26 three-point shooting was the Flames best output so far this season. Bauscher led all scorers with 25 pts., Dourisseau added 19. Hilliman led Rotterdam with 16 pts. Gas Terra Flames are now 10-0. *by Sanders Jackson
