Regular Season Round 8: Casalpusterlengo - Fileni BPA Jesi 67-75
Date: November 21, 2010
Rather expected game in Lodi where 8th ranked Assigeco (4-4) was defeated by sixth ranked Jesi (5-3) 75-67. Worth to mention a great performance of former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) who helped to win the game recording double-double 21 points and 13 rebounds and former international guard Andrea Pecile (187-80, agent: Mira Poljo) who added 19 points (made all of his eight free throws). American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 27 points and 5 assists and his countryman forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) with 19 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). That victory allowed Jesi (5-3) to climb to fourth place. They share it with Immobiliare SR, Fastweb CM and Tuscany PT. Assigeco (4-4) on the other side took eighth position as they recorded their fourth loss. Jesi are looking forward to the next round to face league's new leader Snaidero UD in Udine and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Assigeco will play at home against Scafati Basket (#9) hoping to prove their fans that it was just an accident.
