Jordan worked hard for the third win at the Asian Games. They finally succeeded edging Uzbekistan in overtime. Abdullah Abuqoura stepped up with 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Jordan as they climbed at 3-1 record in Group E. Uzbekistan remained winless at 0-4. Jordan seemed well en route to the victory as they posted a 15:7 lead after the opening quarter. They stretched the margin to double digits in the second frame. Jordan accumulated a 35:22 lead at the interval. But Uzbekistan woke up late in the third quarter. They narrowed the distance to only three points 45:48 with one quarter to go in regulation. Uzbekistan got even closer in the fourth period and finally drew things level at 57. The teams entered overtime where Jordan proved the strength scoring 11 points and tallying the victory. Mahd Abdeen accounted for 14 points for Jordan. Faisal Khair added 13 points in the win. Samender Juginisov replied with 14 points and 12 rebounds for Uzbekistan. Kirill Gusev dropped 13 points in the loss.
