Regular Season Round 15: ToPo - Salon Vilpas 91-63

Quite upsetting was Salon Vilpas' 28-point road defeat in a game versus ToPo who smashed guests with a record result 91-63. The biggest contributor to a victory was forward Timo Heinonen (198-81) with double-double 19 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Mikko Koivisto (194-87, college: NC-Greensboro) helped with 24 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard David Godbold (196-85, college: Oklahoma, agent: Gerrit Kersten-Thiele) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and his countryman forward Nicchaeus Doaks (202-87, college: Chattanooga, agent: Michael Hart) added 13 points and 7 rebounds. Salon Vilpas' coach Kimmo Vyyrylainen gave up on the game allowing to play 11 players saving starting five for next games. That victory allowed ToPo (7-8) to climb to eighth place. Salon Vilpas (4-11) on the other side took tenth position as they recorded their eleventh loss. ToPo will meet next round league's new leader KTP and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Salon Vilpas will play against league's second-placed Pyrinto (#2) being definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
