Regular Season Round 30: Utah Jazz - N.Orleans H. 105-87
Date: November 24, 2010
The New Orleans Hornets battled, but turnovers and soft defense ultimately led to their demise as they fell 105-87 to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night at EnergySolutions Arena. 0 Share 32 Comments Yet again, Deron William's team beat Chris Paul's team. Williams finished with 26 points and 11 assists — both game-highs — to outduel Paul, who finished with 17 points and nine assists. Head-to-head, Williams has now beaten Paul in 12 of 15 NBA meetings. On Wednesday, Williams' team led for most of the night before pulling away in the fourth quarter. A pair of free throws by Jarrett Jack with 10:10 left pulled New Orleans within five points at 82-77, but the Jazz produced a 19-5 run to win by double digits. Jazz big man Al Jefferson had back-to-back baskets to get the run going before Williams ended it with a basket and a clutch 3-pointer. Turnovers plagued the Hornets during that stretch, as they finished with six in the fourth quarter and 19 for the game. And going the other way, they struggled to consistently get stops against the Jazz, who shot 49 percent from the field. The Hornets fall to 11-3 on the season and will complete a four-game road trip when they face Portland on Friday. *Courtesy of www.nola.com
