Semi-Finals Game 7: JORDAN - QATAR 52-60

Qatar overcame Jordan in the classification round of Asian Games. Matthew Skillman team will now take on Philippines for the fifth overall position at the tournament. Khalid Suliman Abdi led the effort with 14 points. Jordan will face DPR Korea in the clash for the 7th place. Jordan looked aggressive in the opening frame. They spurred in front and recorded a 21:16 lead after ten minutes. Qatar struck back early in the second period. They went on a 13:4 run to take the lead. Qatar arrived at halftime up by two points 33:31. Jordan regained control in the third frame. Abdullah Abuqoura paced the team as they established a 44:42 advantage at the final intermission. Qatar showed character in the final period. Playing without their charismatic leader Yasseen Musa the team however returned into the contest and eked out a tough victory at the end. Daoud Musa, Baker Ahmad Mohammed and Souleymane Ndour scored 11 points each for Qatar. Saad Abdulrahman Ali added 5 points and 5 boards in the winning effort. Nidal Alsharif replied with 11 points for Jordan. Abdullah Abuqoura and Ali Zaghab notched 10 points apiece in the loss.
