Regular Season Round 7: Idaho S. - Texas L. 114-117
Date: November 27, 2010
Randy Livingston knows the time will come. Sooner or later, he will notch his first win as the coach of the Idaho Stampede. But after a 117-114 loss to the Texas Legends on Saturday night at Qwest Arena, Livingston will have to wait at least a few more days before he enjoys that first victory. For the second time in two nights, Idaho (0-3) held a comfortable lead in the second half before seeing it slip away. In a game that featured 17 lead changes, the Stampede enjoyed a nine-point cushion in the fourth quarter. But then Texas (2-1) got the hot hand. “We’ve got to learn how to close out and win games … and have a killer instinct,” Livingston said. The loss spoiled the efforts of rookie forward Seth Tarver, who had 26 points and eight rebounds. Tarver, who attended the Portland Trail Blazers’ training camp and was cut late in the preseason, has been a bright spot for Livingston early this season. “He’s just been workmanlike since he got to Boise,” Livingston said. “He shot the ball extremely well.” Forward Walter Sharpe added a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. *Courtesy of www.idahostatesman.com
