Regular Season Round 4: Barcelos - Guifoes 67-51

League top team - Barcelos (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Guifoes 67-51. It was a very good performance for former international forward Pedro Silva (198-79) who helped to win the game recording double-double 14 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Carlos Fechas (180-81) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Naturalized Cape Verdean forward Odair Conceicao (197-84) replied with double-double 12 points and 16 rebounds and center Leonel Bento (205-76) added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Guifoes. Both coaches tested many bench players allowing starting five to get some rest. Barcelos (4-0) has a solid series of three victories in a row. Barcelos stay at first position. Newly promoted Guifoes (2-2) on the other side took fifth place as they recorded their second loss. Barcelos' next round opponent will be Angra (#3) on the road. Guifoes will play against Electrico FC.
