Regular Season Round 9: Giorgo Tesi PT - Umana VE 65-70

Another exciting game was played in Pistoia between second ranked Umana Reyer and 4th placed Tuscany PT where Umana Reyer (8-1) defeated Tuscany PT (5-4) on the road 70-65. It was a good game for American-Bulgarian guard Kiki Clark (173-84, college: St.Peter's) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Alvin Young (189-75, college: Niagara) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jarvis Varnado (206-88, college: Mississippi St.) answered with double-double 22 points and 18 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian guard Ariel Filloy (190-87, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) added 14 points for Tuscany PT. It was fourth consecutive victory for Umana Reyer. Thanks to that win Umana Reyer become a new league leader, which they share with Snaidero UD. Tuscany PT dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share it with Immobiliare SR, Jesi and Scafati Basket. Umana Reyer's next round game will be against bottom-ranked San Severo (#16) on the road which should be an easy walk for them. Tuscany PT will play against Tezenis Verona (#15) to get back on winning track.
