Very expected game in Panevezys where 9th ranked Neptunas (3-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Techasas (6-3) 94-88. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for guard Tomas Rinkevicius (178-78) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists. Forward Vaidotas Volkus (203-85, college: Redlands CC) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five Techasas players scored in double figures. Guard Martynas Mazeika (190-85, agent: Ingo Wolf) responded with 18 points and guard Robertas Bitinas (182-84) scored 16 points. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Neptunas' coach Rytas Vaisvila rotated ten players which allowed his starters a little rest for the next games. Techasas has an solid series of four victories in a row. The victory allowed Techasas (6-3) to climb to fourth place. Neptunas who is 3-6 went down to tenth position as they suffered their sixth loss. Techasas is looking forward to face Nevezis (#6) in Kedainiai in the next round. Neptunas will play at home against Juventus (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
