Regular Season Round 15: Leeuwarden - Zwolle 79-68
Date: December 4, 2010
In the Kalverdijke, the strong play of Gerad Punch (193-G/F-84, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement, college: Furman) helped DeFriesland Aris Leeuwarden continue on a roll, winning its 3rd straight game and a 79-68 win over Landstede Basketball. Punch made the difference against his former team in the 2nd quarter, helping break a 21-21 gridlock that helped Aris on a 20-7 run until the end of the quarter that gave them the momentum edge throughout. Landstede would later fight back and cut the lead to within striking distance to 66-61, but Aris guard Todd Brown (196-G-87, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement, college: Wright St.) would help Aris counter with an 11-0 run that would be the knockout blow. Punch would lead Aris with 17 pts., with Brown, Williams and Manny Adako adding 14 pts. each. Harry Marshall led all scorers with 23 pts. De Friesland Aris improves to 7-8 and move into 5th place in the standings, while Landstede falls to 5-10. *by Sanders Jackson
