No shocking result in a game in Duesseldorf where seventh ranked TBB Trier (7-6) smashed bottom-ranked Gloria Giants (2-9) 70-49. The best player for the winners was international forward Philip Zwiener (198-85, agent: Side Court) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-Canadian guard Olumuyiwa Famutimi (197-84, college: Arkansas) who recorded 11 points and 9 rebounds and Canadian forward Ransford Brempong (203-81, college: W.Carolina) added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thanks to that win TBB Trier moved-up to sixth place. Loser Gloria Giants keep the bottom position with nine games lost. TBB Trier will face league's leader Brose Baskets in Bamberg in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gloria Giants will play at home against Telekom Baskets (#9) in Bonn.
