Regular Season Round 7: Olympiacos - PAOK 89-82

The most important game of round 7 in A1 was a defeat of one of league's best team PAOK. They lost on the road by second ranked Olympiakos 89-82. It was a great evening for international center Ioannis Bourousis (212-83, agent: Costas Papadakis) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agent: Misko Raznatovic) helped adding 13 points and 4 assists. Four Olympiakos players scored in double figures. Olympiakos' coach Dusan Ivkovic used a eleven-player rotation which allowed his starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American-Guyanese guard Rawle Marshall (201-82, college: Oakland) responded with 33 points (!!!) and American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four PAOK players scored in double figures. Olympiakos (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. The victory allowed Olympiakos (7-0) to take over a leadership position. They share first position with Panathinaikos. PAOK who is 3-4 is currently in eighth place as they suffered their fourth loss. PAOK will play next round against Panellinios trying to get back on the winning streak. Olympiakos will try to continue on it's current victory against fourteenth ranked Ilysiakos. It will be extra interesting game as Ilysiakos is their local rival from Athens.
