Korisliiga round 18 most important game was ahome victory of 7-ranked Espoon Honka (10-8) over second-ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (13-5), who crushed host by 25 points 92-67 ending at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Tampereen Pyrinto. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center John Williamson (198-86, college: Cincinnati) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field). Forward Corey Belser (200-82, college: San Diego) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Espoon Honka players scored in double figures. Espoon Honka's coach Pekka Salminen felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kenneth Lowe (192-80, college: Purdue, agent: Chris Warren) added 13 points in the effort for Tampereen Pyrinto. Espoon Honka jumped to the sixth spot. Last year champion keeps the second position. Espoon Honka is looking forward to face Kauhajoen Karhu (#7) in Kauhajoki in the next round. Tampereen Pyrinto will play at home against LrNMKY (#11) in Lappeenranta and is hoping to win this game.
