D1 top team - Elitzur Ramla (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (5-4) 91-48. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Laine Selwyn (170-81, college: Pittsburgh, agent: Huky Nir) who scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. American power forward Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton (188-86, college: Purdue, agent: Yves Lejeune) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. Elitzur Ramla's coach Adan Inbar felt very confident using 10 players seeing no chance for a win. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Khadijah Whittington (186-86, college: N.Carolina St.) who recorded 8 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import swingman Danielle McCray (180-87, college: Kansas) added 14 points respectively. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Elitzur Ramla. They of course still keep top position in the standings. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion stays at the fifth place. Elitzur Ramla's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will play against Elitzur Netanya (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
