The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Orman Genc (6-3) in Ankara on Saturday night. Orman Genc was edged by eleventh ranked FMV Isikspor (2-7) 61-59. Orman Genc was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 18-9 charge of FMV Isikspor, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Alpaslan Uruk (-88) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Serhat Ugur (192-85) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and guard Timucin Yener (180-84) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Orman Genc's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory allowed FMV Isikspor (2-7) to climb to the ninth place in group A. They share it with Adanaspor and Pertevniyal. Orman Genc who is 6-3 went down to fourth position as they suffered their third loss. FMV Isikspor is looking forward to face Pertevniyal (#10) in Istanbul in the next round. Orman Genc will play at home against Adanaspor (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
