Very expected game in Kaunas where 9th ranked Triobet Malsta (7-11) was rolled over by fourth ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (13-6) 90-69. The game rather controlled by Zalgiris-Sabonio. Triobet Malsta managed to win fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Vytenis Cizauskas (189-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 assists. Center Mindaugas Kupsas (211-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Zalgiris-Sabonio players scored in double figures. Guard Rytis Juknevicius (184-93) replied with 23 points and guard Arunas Sakalauskas (188-91) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Triobet Malsta. Zalgiris-Sabonio moved-up to third place, which they share with Radviliskis. Triobet Malsta lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eleven games lost. Zalgiris-Sabonio will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Triobet Malsta will play at home against Radviliskis (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
