And what about another game where Zastal (#5) beat SKK Kotwica 74-73 on their own court. Zastal was tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Strangely SKK Kotwica outrebounded Zastal 47-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Ivorian-Puerto Rican guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists. American center Chris Burgess (209-79, college: Utah) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Zastal players scored in double figures. American guard Ted Scott (188-85, college: W.Virginia St., agent: Michael Hart) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import center Darrell Harris (208-84, college: Rhode Island) added 17 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for SKK Kotwica. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory allowed Zastal (6-4) who are in their first very successful season in the PLK to climb to the third place. They share it with Trefl Sopot. SKK Kotwica is currently in tenth position with a 3-6 record as they suffered their sixth loss. Zastal's next round opponent will be Polpharma (#9) in Starogard where they are favorite. SKK Kotwica will play at home against Siarka in Tarnobrzeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
