Regular Season Round 14: USK Praha - Basketbol Brno 65-68

Date: December 11, 2010
Very significant was Basketbol Brno's (#8) just 3-point road victory against 9th ranked USK Praha. was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But USK Praha won third quarter 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Slovakian center Peter Sedmak (203-85) notched 12 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Belgian guard Sebastien Maio (190-78) who supported him with 10 points and 8 assists. Four Basketbol Brno players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by international forward Lukas Kotas (194-84) did not help to save the game for USK Praha. International forward Vojtech Hruban (200-89) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. USK Praha's coach Ken Scalabroni rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite the victory Basketbol Brno (4-9) stay at eighth position. USK Praha lost fifth consecutive game. They are currently in ninth place with a 3-10 record. Basketbol Brno will play against higher ranked B&W Opava (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. USK Praha will play against Basketbal Svitavy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
