Regular Season Round 15: Roche - CFBB 66-74

Bottom-ranked CFBB managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Roche 74-66. And what about a second win in a row after ...thirteen consecutive loses. CFBB took control from the first minutes by winning the first quarter 20-13. But Roche won second quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CFBB had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for swingman Hugo Invernizzi (196-93) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. Guard Anthony Racine (188-94) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four CFBB players scored in double figures. Guard Francisco Bateko (185-84, college: Robert Morris) answered with 18 points and forward Stephane Neri (188-85) added 13 points in the effort for Roche. CFBB maintains eighteenth place with 2-13 record. Roche lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventeenth position with eleven games lost. CFBB will play against higher ranked Vendee Challans (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roche will play against Saint Chamond (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
