There was no surprise when 8th ranked Hannover Tigers (6-7) were outplayed at home by second ranked s Oliver Baskets (11-2) 99-76. The game without a history. s Oliver Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hannover Tigers' 40. s Oliver Baskets forced 20 Hannover Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 36-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. American power forward Ivan Elliott (203-86, college: UCSB, agency: Limelight Hoops) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and British-Australian guard Lee Jeka (187-83, agency: Promotex) accounted for 19 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Coach Marcel Schroeder's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center David Arigbabu (203-75, college: Rhode Island, agency: Court Side) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Calvin Henry (198-86, college: Mercer) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Hannover Tigers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for s Oliver Baskets. Despite the win they stay at second position having just one point less than leader B.Muenchen. Hannover Tigers lost their third straight game in a row. They are currently in seventh place with a 6-7 record. s Oliver Baskets will play against Dragons Rhoendorf (#13) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Hannover Tigers will play against ETB Wohnbau (#14) in Essen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
