Let's mention also a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: TSU (#4) and GSAU (#9). GSAU was crushed at home by 28 points 73-101 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 101-73. TSU forced 21 GSAU turnovers and outrebounded them 51-25 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Richard Matiashvili (209-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and forward Mikheil Panchulidze (192-83) chipped in 17 points and 4 steals. Coach Nugzar Cheishvili's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Revaz Chachanidze (183-90) with 20 points and power forward Kakhaber Mumladze (201-92) scored 16 points. Four GSAU players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for TSU. Despite the win they stay at fourth position. GSAU lost their sixth straight game in a row. They are currently in eighth place with a 2-7 record. TSU will have a break next round. GSAU will play on the road against Energy Invest (#5) in Rustavi.
