There was no surprise when 11th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (1-12) was defeated at home by ninth ranked USK Praha (4-10) 63-58 on Saturday. Basketbal Svitavy was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for international forward Lukas Kotas (194-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. Center Martin Klimes (203-83, college: Vermont) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. USK Praha's coach Ken Scalabroni used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Ladislav Horak (205-86) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and center Radim Kramny (212-85) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. USK Praha maintains ninth place with 4-10 record. Basketbal Svitavy lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with twelve games lost. They share it with Plzen. USK Praha will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Basketbal Svitavy will play against B&W Opava (#6).
