Quite upsetting was Toshiba Thunders' home defeat in a game versus Aishin Sea Horses 79-87. . Toshiba Thunders were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 26-17 charge of Aishin Sea Horses, which allowed them to win the game. The former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (205-85) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Swingman Yatsutoshi Uda (190-86) produced 23 points and guard Yuta Miyanga (183-81) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aishin Sea Horses (17-5) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They stay at first position.
