Regular Season Round 15: Breogan - Ourense 62-58
Date: December 22, 2010
Very expected game in Lugo where 18th ranked Ourense (2-13) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (6-9) 62-58 on Wednesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ourense won fourth quarter 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Center Oliver Arteaga (211-83) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Ivorian-American forward Jonathan Kale (203-85, college: Providence) with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Central African-French guard Michael Mokongo (180-86, agency: ACMT) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Leche Rio Breogan moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Alcazar and Clinicas Rincon. Ourense lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will meet Palencia Baloncesto (#17) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ourense will play against Melilla Baloncesto and hope to secure a win.
