There was a small surprise in Tianjin where fourteenth ranked Foshan (2-3) beat 12th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (1-3) 89-75 on Wednesday. Foshan made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. American guard Stephon Marbury (187-77, college: Georgia Tech) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 assists for the winners and Nigerian-British power forward Olumide Oyedeji (208-81) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Foshan players scored in double figures. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Lee Benson (208-73, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Paris Global Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Foshan moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Liaoning and Shandong. TianJin Rongcheng lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with three games lost. They share it with Shanxi Zh. and Qingdao DS. Foshan will meet at home league's leader DongGuan Leopards in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#8) in Hangzhou.
