Regular Season Round 6: Beijing Ducks - Bayi R. 84-78

The most important game in the last round took place in Beijing between third ranked Bayi Fubang (4-2) and fourth ranked Ducks (5-1) on Friday night. Bayi Fubang was defeated by Ducks in a tough game on the road 78-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bayi Fubang. Bayi Fubang was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Bayi Fubang helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds. Taiwanese guard Hsueh-Lin Lee (176-84) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Lei Wang (203-86) who recorded 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-79) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Beijing Ducks have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Bayi Fubang at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Beijing Ducks are looking forward to face Jiangsu Dragons (#4) in Nanjing in the next round. Bayi Fubang will play on the road against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
