Regular Season Round 39: Z*N.Mexico T. - Springfield A. 90-99

Before Wednesday, Springfield had managed just one NBA D-League victory on the road. Now the Armor can claim two, thanks to four players scoring 16 points each and a late 3-point barrage. Jerry Smith connected on consecutive 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and Tre Whitted followed with one of his own in a 9-0 run that propelled Springfield to a 99-90 victory over New Mexico. Chas McFarland, who had been ejected from his two previous games, hung around for the entire time, finishing with 16 points. And, more importantly, he grabbed 11 rebounds to lead a complete reversal on the boards for Springfield. After getting crushed Tuesday on the glass, the Armor enjoyed a 53-48 rebounding advantage Wednesday. Gavin Edwards contributed 16 points and a game-high 12 boards, while Brian Leggett snared eight rebounds, five of those coming on the offensive end.
