The game in Norrkoping was quite interesting. Fifth ranked Lithuanian Rudupis (9-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Swedish Norrkoping Dolphins (6-6). Rudupis managed to secure a 6-point victory 92-86 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Norrkoping Dolphins won third quarter 26-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Vytenis Lipkevicius (198-89) fired 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Adas Juskevicius (194-89) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Power forward Joakim Kjellbom (213-79, college: N.Arizona) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks and American guard Andrew Mitchell (181-79, college: Kent St.) added 18 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rudupis has a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Elite, which they share with Ventspils. Defending Swedish champion Norrkoping Dolphins dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Rudupis will meet at home bottom-ranked Valmiera (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Liepaja (#11) and hope to secure a win.
