Regular Season Round 16: BC Kolin - BK Decin 79-75

Very important is a road loss of third ranked BK Decin (11-4) against seventh ranked BC Kolin (7-8) on Saturday night. Visiting BK Decin was defeated by seventh ranked BC Kolin (7-8) in a tough game in Kolin 75-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BK Decin. It looked good early as BK Decin took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then BC Kolin had a 25-9 second period charge getting the lead and BK Decin was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-79. BK Decin was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Stanislav Zuzak (206-80, college: Cal-Irvine) who added 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international forward Pavel Houska (201-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Levell Sanders (189-75, college: Seton Hall, agency: Stanley International) scored 18 points. Four BK Decin players scored in double figures. BC Kolin moved-up to sixth place, which they share with B&W Opava. BK Decin at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Novy Jicin. BC Kolin will play against higher ranked NH Ostrava (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Decin will have a break next round.
