A very interesting game took place in Leon. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Lechugueros (22-14) to sixth ranked Angeles (23-12) 80-78 in the game for the sixth place. It was a good game for Venezuelan guard Diego Guevara (184-77, college: Charlotte) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. American-Venezuelan forward Jermaine Walker (198-77, college: Miami (FL)) contributed with 20 points and 6 steals for the winners. Naturalized American forward Adrian Sanchez (196-86) answered with 19 points and American swingman Mike Smith (201-76, college: La-Monroe) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Lechugueros. Four Lechugueros players scored in double figures. Angeles has a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 23-12 record. Lechugueros at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Lobos Grises and Huracanes. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
