Regular Season Round 9: Flamengo - Dep.Espanol 85-66

Flamengo recorded the third straight win in Ibarra. They held off Espanol de Talca to clinch the top position in Group C. The Brazilian vice-champions advanced into the next round of the competition. Espanol de Talca finished in the third place at 1-2 record. Marcelinho Machado was pivotal for Flamengo with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Espanol de Talca surprised Flamengo with an aggressive game in the opening term. The Chilean side grabbed a 19:16 lead after ten minutes. But Flamengo quickly straighten up their game. The Brazilian side outscored Espanol 26:13 in the second term and posted a 10-point halftime lead. Espanol did not surrender as they fought bravely in the third term. The Chilean side got as close as 8 points with ten minutes remaining but Flamengo erupted for 29 points in the final stanza and sealed the winning outcome at the end. Guilherme Teichmann notched 10 points and 10 rebounds for Flamengo. Atila Santos added 9 points in the victory. Francisco Bravo responded with 16 points for Espanol de Talca. Guillermo Araujo and Franco Morales had 10 points each in the loss.
