Regular Season Round 9: Mavort - Quimsa 65-75

Quimsa secured the second win at the Liga Americas Group C action. They defeated Mavort in Ibarra to seal the next round birth. Diego Lo Grippo and Dionisio Gomez Camargo scored 20 points each to lead the Argentinean team. Mavort fell at 0-3 record after the loss. Mavort got to the better start as they were up by three points after ten minutes 19:16. But Quimsa quickly stopped the rot and pulled in front in the second stanza. The visitors recorded a 37:33 lead at the interval. Mavort persisted as they outscored Quimsa in the third term. The Ecuadorian team entered the final term up by one point. But a 21:10 rally in the fourth quarter helped Quimsa ensure the victory. Julio Mazzaro had 14 points, 6 boards and 5 assists for Quimsa. Marcus Elliott answered with 19 points for Mavort. Blake Walker tallied 18 points in the loss.
